Contest Closed!
The March Colors contest is now closed, and admins will be submitting their votes. Due to the unexpectedly large number of entries, there will be runner-ups and honorable mention prizes in addition to the semi-finalists and finalists.
The results will be out as soon as we have enough admin votes!
Theme
The theme for the monthly contest is based on colors. Pick one color and create an artwork that centers around that color. You can interpret this however you would like, and all mediums are allowed!
Deadline
The deadline to submit your entries is Sunday, April 6th at 11:59 PM GMT.
Judging
The admins and I will vote to pick five semi-finalists from all of the submitted contest entries. Then all of the members of this group will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite one, and you will be able to pick the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Criteria
Admins will be judging contest entries using the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality (25%)
- Technique and skill (25%)
- Use of Theme (25%)
- Impact (25%)
Rules
Please follow all of the following rules, or your contest entry will not be accepted.
- Only group members can participate. Admins can participate as well, but they will not be able to vote for their own contest entry.
- Each member can submit up to two entries, but you can only win one time.
- Any medium is allowed.
- Artwork must be completely your own work. Please do not use bases/lineart or collaborate with another deviant. If you use stock images, make sure to credit their original source.
- All contest entries should have been created specifically for this contest, so it must have been submitted after today, March 9th.
- All contest entries must be submitted to the Current Prompt Challenge or Contest folder.
- In the artwork description, please include how your artwork relates to the theme. The admins like to read this part to get a better understanding of your entry, so it is in your interest to do a good job here.
- Also include in the artwork description that your entry is for Rising-Artists’ Colors contest.
