Description

For Rising Artist's July Contest: Information: nxperience.deviantart.com/jour…

Knowledge is unlimited as long as you have the patience to read the information to obtain it.

Also, this relates back to the Wisdom Fairy that I manipulated a while back. The owl and the blue dress. Notice that?

Again the use of color in this one is rather nice. It has the start of a great photo manip but it seems to be too chaotic without some things being incorporated properly into the piece. For starters I'll say the vivid greens and blues are beautiful. As we look around though it seems things are simply stuck in without really any attempt to blend them into their surroundings or utilize a light source. The archway and stairs that are coming out of the book, for example seem pasted on and stick out noticeably instead of seeming to naturally be a part of that book. When I look into the background you have these images of the boats and dolphins incorporated better as they share that color scheme and fade into the piece. Still though it seems a bit strange to have those which share a common theme and then this owl with the clock post on the island. I think I understand the idea of her reading and taking in this knowledge and story, yet as I said earlier, things just seem to be pasted in without a coherent sense of why they're belonging there.
